Booking
1. Booking & Payment

A deposit 0f 50% and a completed booking form are required to confirm your place.

The remaining balance is due no later than 1 month before your trip.

If you book less than 8 weeks before the start date, full payment is required at booking.

Please make sure any bank charges are covered so that Exley Guiding receives the full invoiced amount.
2. Cancellation by the Client

Cancellations must be made in writing (email).

If cancelled 2 months or less before the trip: deposit is non-refundable, but any balance already paid will be refunded.

If cancelled less than 2 weeks before the trip: no refund will be given.

We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover cancellations due to illness, injury, or unforeseen events.
3. Cancellation by Exley Guiding

If we cancel your trip, you’ll receive a full refund of guiding fees paid.

We may not be able to refund other costs such as accommodation or transport.

No refunds are given for cancellations caused by events outside our control (e.g. extreme weather, strikes, natural disasters, government restrictions).
4. Weather & Mountain Conditions

Mountain conditions are unpredictable. Routes, objectives, or itineraries may change at any time for safety reasons.

No refunds are given if changes are necessary due to weather, snow, or safety concerns.
5. Risks & Responsibilities

Mountaineering, climbing, skiing, and similar activities involve risk. By booking, you accept these risks and responsibility for your own actions.

You must follow your guide’s instructions at all times. Failure to do so may result in exclusion from activities without refund.
6. Insurance

Rescue insurance covering helicopter rescue and repatriation is mandatory.

Proof of insurance must be provided before the trip.

Cancellation, medical, and personal insurance are strongly recommended.
7. Equipment

Any hired or borrowed equipment must be returned in good condition. Repair or replacement costs may be charged if equipment is lost or damaged.
8. Other Terms

Exley Guiding is not responsible for services provided by third parties (e.g. accommodation, transport).

Any legal disputes will be handled under English law and courts, unless required otherwise by French regulations.
Insurance
Mountaineering, climbing, trekking, and skiing are activities that involve inherent risks, including the possibility of personal injury, illness, or death. Exley Guiding and its guides will always take all reasonable steps to minimise these risks; however, they cannot be completely removed.
Participants must be physically capable of undertaking the activities for which they have booked and must follow all safety instructions provided by Exley Guiding and its guides.
All clients are required to hold valid personal insurance that includes cover for rescue, emergency medical treatment, and repatriation from the country or countries in which their activity takes place. It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that their insurance policy is appropriate and remains valid for the entire duration of their trip.
By proceeding with a booking, clients acknowledge and accept these requirements.
Privacy Policy
Exley Guiding collects and stores guests’ personal details solely for the purpose of managing and completing bookings. We do not share your information with third parties unless required by law. In accordance with legal requirements, we retain booking-related personal information for a minimum of five (5) years, after which it is securely deleted.
Photographs taken by Exley Guiding or guides working on behalf of Exley Guiding may be used for publicity or advertising purposes. If you prefer not to appear in such images, please inform us prior to your activity.
By booking with Exley Guiding, you consent to this use and retention of your information.
